A Columbia man is dead this morning after a head-on collision in Monroe County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Patsy Rice was driving on Highway 24 east of Paris Tuesday morning when her car crossed the center line and hit another car head-on. Rice's vehicle continued and struck 63-year-old Gerald Lewis' vehicle head-on as well.
Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. Rice was transported to Moberly Regional Hospital.
The driver of the third vehicle was not injured and was able to drive her car from the scene.
