Former Jefferson City Teacher Makes Court Appearance

Roark is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student

A former Jefferson City High School teacher makes a brief court appearance Tuesday.

Brent Roark pleaded not guilty to charges of statutory rape and statutory sodomy.

Roark is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old female student at his home in May and June of 2005.

He is expected back in court in January.

If convicted, he faces up to 21 years in prison.
