NEW Snow Tracker

A vigorous late-winter storm continues to bring snow/rain/sleet to mid-Missouri. The cold front has slid a bit farther southeast than originally predicted, so the cold air has also slid farther east. In result, snow totals are being bumped up (as you'll see above) for Columbia, Versailles, California & Mexico. Along and north of that line, expect to find 2-5" of total snow accumulation through Saturday night.

Weekend Snow Tracker

While most areas in mid-Missouri will NOT see accumulating snow, cities north of Interstate 70 and west of HWY 63 will likely see the snow piling up by Saturday night. Ultimately, warm air will significantly cut down on snow totals with this storm system, but as the snow begins to fall heavily in our northern and western counties, the snowfall rates will be able to overcome the melting rates. Here in Columbia & Jefferson City, I don't expect any accumulating snow, but heavy, wet snowflakes will likely fall Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.
