THREAT TRACKER OUTLOOK

Last updated by the ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Team on Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:38pm

THIS EVENING

Severe Potential

A slight risk for severe weather exists across all of Mid-Missouri.  However, the highest potential and greatest concentration of storms will be along and south of a Marshall-Boonville-Jefferson City-Rolla line.

THREATS:  Damaging wind will be possible across all of Mid-Missouri, but may be most concentrated along the leading edge of the storms when they are a little more mature in central Missouri.  Large hail up to the size of nickels will be possible in the strongest cells when they first arrive in our viewing area.  Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning is also a concern during the early evening hours.  An isolated tornado can also NOT be ruled out where some of the storm cells become discrete and possibly develop ahead of the main squall line.
